Privacy policy

Light Zone is run by Light. This page explains what we collect when you use it and what we do with it. The short version: we keep only what the site needs to work, and we don't sell your data or show ads.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture from Google and use them as your starting display name and avatar; you can change both in settings.
• Profile. Your username, display name, bio and avatar. These are public.
• What you upload. Models, preview images, titles, descriptions and tags. Approved uploads are public.
• Activity. The models you like and download. Likes are shown on your profile. Download counts use a one-way, salted hash of your IP address and browser, so we can avoid double-counting without storing the address itself.
• Cookies. A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

To run your account, show your models and profile, count downloads and likes, review uploads, prevent abuse, and contact you about your account. We use Google sign-in data only to sign you in and set up your profile.

Who processes it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Supabase (accounts, database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), and Google (if you choose Google sign-in). Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Your choices

You can edit your profile or delete your models at any time. To delete your account and everything tied to it, or to get a copy of your data, email support@getlight.tech from the address you sign in with.

If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll say so on the site. See also our terms of use.
